#LiveBloggers event + goody bag overview :)

Hi ladies

Last night I went to the #LiveBloggers event hosted by Grace of allthatslap and Ewa of socialbeautify. It was held in the Piccadilly Institute where we had the top floor to ourselves. It was a small intimate affair which was perfect for my first ever bloggers event! I realise now I should have taken some photos like everybody else was doing but what can I say I'm quite the noob with these things and was too busy talking to everybody.

In summary we were discussing our top 'splurge' and 'budget' buys. The reason it was a 'Live' event is because we were encouraged to tweet/instagram/facebook and blog live. What I loved about the event is they brought together newer bloggers like me (I probably had the 'smallest' and newest blog there) and more established bloggers. It was lovely of Grace to invite me, who I know from BBS and has been very encouraging since I started blogging in June.

There was a table that had all the goody bag products laid out for us to try, some nibbles for us to eat & a room full of lovely beauty bloggers to chat with. I had a great time at the event and not surprisingly budget brands that were discussed were MUA (a big hit) ELF (I think I was the only one to champion them) and vivo (haven't tried anything from them before but Lisa from brunettebeautybanter told me they are the same people behind MUA). On our table the splurge items included YSL (my lipstain) Kevyn Aucoin skin enhancer & the Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara at a whopping £60! (saay whaaaat).

At the end of the event we received huge goody bags! Grace and Ewa did fantastically well gathering these bits and a big thank you to all the brands and PR companies involved.

I will review these in separate posts as I couldn't possibly mention everything here but I look forward to giving everything a go!

Brands include:

  • INIKA
  • Area H20
  • Nip & Fab
  • Elegant Touch
  • Bumble & Bumble

  • Weleda
  • Super Facialist

A huge well done to @Allthatslap and @SocialBeautify who hosted a fantastic event and made a very nervous newbie blogger feel extremely welcome. I look forward to reviewing the contents of the goody bag soon.

Till next time...Toodles! :)

List of bloggers present - was weird sort of recognising a face from Twitter/blogs. Check them out ladies:
